The 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony will take place on Wednesday, June 14, at 4:30 p.m. at the First Congregational Church (540 S. Commonwealth Ave.). The reception will be at the LCS-LaFayette campus (2801 W 6th St.) immediately after the promotion ceremony. Light refreshments will be served. The kids can pick up their free class T-shirts, take pictures in the photo booth, and sign each other's keepsake programs.

We’d like to make this a wonderful celebration of our kids and their accomplishments. Toward this end, we kindly ask for your support. Here's how to help:

- Make a DIRECT CONTRIBUTION to the fundSuggested donation is $50 per family, but any amount is appreciated. Thank you for making a difference! Your tax-deductible contribution will help make the 8th grade promotion a memorable and inspirational experience for all.

- Purchase program TRIBUTE MESSAGES or FAMILY ADS (containing photos and/or text): The printed program is a keepsake of your child's experiences at LCS, which will contain pages for autographs and notes from classmates, teachers, and staff. Ads or messages to the students can be purchased. Grandparents, friends, etc. are welcome to buy messages and ads too – spread the word! You might also want to consider a message or an ad to give thanks to our amazing teachers and staff.

We are also selling AD SPACE FOR BUSINESSES. The student council members will be soliciting local businesses as well. We are expecting about 800 attendees at this event!

Program messages and ads are due by this Sunday, June 4. We realize this gives you only 4 days and we apologize for the short notice, but an opportunity to have these wonderful keepsake programs came along - and we couldn’t pass on it. You may contribute to the promotion fund until Sunday, June 18. Any funds raised beyond the cost of the ceremony, reception, and programs will be used to purchase an 8th grade class gift to the school chosen by the students.

As always, your generosity is appreciated. Thank you for all that you do to support your student and Larchmont Charter School. We look forward to celebrating with you on June 14.
