Welcome to LCS Selma! We are thrilled to welcome you to the LCS Selma family this Fall. This letter provides upcoming events that we would like to invite you to, along with important information. 

1. Summer Homework: Each summer, we assign math and reading homework for students to stay fresh in their learning. The homework is due the first day of school (August 19). We will share more details and links to our summer homework websites soon! 
2. Our LOOP (Larchmont Organization of Parents) typically hosts two Park Hangouts over the summer. For now, we will keep one of our scheduled events for August 15, 2020 from 11am-1pm at Plummer Park. 
3. New Family Orientation: At present, this event is scheduled for August 17, 2020 from 9-11am at our Selma Campus. Typically, students will get to interact with teachers and play community building games, while the parents and administration meet to discuss everything you need to know about our school. More details will be coming soon about the plans for orientation as we learn about gathering restrictions at schools. 
4. Our 5th grade team is an amazing group of teachers, who work closely together to plan a constructivist, whole-child centered curriculum. Please click the link which will take you to our website to learn more about our fabulous team of teachers.

6. The first day of school is scheduled for Wednesday, August 19, 2020. We know there are many questions right now about what school will look like in the Fall. LCS is following guidance from the county and state. We will keep you updated on this in our future communications.
